One of the reasons that this restaurant scores so highly is that its price point is absolutely spot on. While Monsieur Michelin won’t be calling with a star in hand just yet, Riviera produces excellent food in a superb setting that will ensure an enjoyable (and fun) dining experience, and you won’t pay through the nose for it. Whether you opt for the four-, fiveor seven-course menu, you won’t be disappointed. The playful take on the classic French dish of bouillabaisse is most successful (with delicious red mullet), while the Moroccan slowcooked lamb shoulder wrapped in fagottini pasta is an aromatic treat. Thoroughly recommended are the acorn-fed Iberico pork and the Wagyu beef sirloin which is beautifully rendered. There are some good wines by the glass on offer, although the main list is on the small side and predominantly French. Service is impeccable.
