A simply-designed restaurant, with no pretensions to grandeur, Syun serves delicious Japanese food—all elegantly plated on an entertaining array of serving platters. The sea urchin rolled in Kagoshima A4 Wagyu beef is a divine mouthful of premium ingredients, topped with caviar and popping with exquisite flavours. The chef’s sashimi selection comes pretty as a picture on ornamental porcelain, every slice of fish immaculately sliced and artfully arranged, in harmony with a seasonal blossom. For mains, the fish choice of unagi kabayaki features double-cooked, glossily caramelised eel sliced in generously thick portions. This dish is utterly delicious. The ubiquitous pork cutlet is light and crisp, delightfully paired with the tomato salad and a favourful fruity sauce.
