PARISIAN FLAVOUR
Can’t get enough of prett y tableware? Here’s something to add to your collection. Haviland has released t wo new porcelain collections: Duomo and Belle Epoque. We love the Belle Epoque collection for its delicate, genteel lines that take inspiration from the Art Nouveau period between 1890 and 1910. Notably, the Belle Epoque collection is inspired by the architecture of the Paris metro entrances designed by Hector Guimard. On your next visit to Paris, take note of the entrances built in cast iron, many of which still exist today. For the Belle Epoque collection, Haviland has created the elegant, slim lines of the arabesque patterns in matte platinum. Aside from being a timeless collection for the formal table setting, its interpretation of French art and architecture is one to wow your guests. Whether it’s the ebb and f low of sea waves or the force of the waterfall, the movement of water is mesmerising. Now you can have that visual experience right in your ver y own bathroom. Axor and Philippe Starck have collaborated to produce the Axor Starck V. With a transparent mixer body and an open spout, the faucet provides a visual display built upon the water vortex phenomenon. Through the transparent mixer body, you can watch the upward, swirling motion of the water before it falls into and f lows down the spout. The mixer is made of organic material cr ystal glass, which is loved for its durabilit y and sustainabilit y. The spout is rotatable and detachable for easy cleaning. Now, that ’s innovation.
