BOWERS & WILKINS CONTINUES TO ENTHRALL AUDIOPHILES WITH INNOVATIVE, HIGH-PERFORMANCE SOUND SYSTEMS THAT PUSH THE BOUNDARIES OF DESIGN

-

Music, as Shakespeare famously said, is the food of love. But whether your preferred musician be Beethoven or Bruno Mars, Bowers & Wilkins has got you covered with its stylish range of technologically advanced sound systems and headphones that sound as good as they look. The British brand is known for its high-performance audio devices, and constantly seek to improve. By refining existing classics and integrating innovative new technology, these key products from Bowers & Wilkins marry cutting-edge design with the brand’s unwavering quest for perfection.

Bowers & Wilkins has set the standard for loudspeakers for over 50 years with its constantly evolving 800 Series. The newest iteration of this, the 800 Series Diamond, sets a new benchmark, redefining high-end audio as we know it. It’s pleasing to the senses: exactly 868 component changes have been made to create an exceptional audio experience, and the look of the speakers has been radically altered, delivering a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. Taking inspiration from the aquatic world, the Nautilus represents the culmination of a five-year quest for the perfect loudspeaker. The research done to produce it was the most ambitious undertaking by Bowers & Wilkins, since its founding in 1966. Its whorled exterior is moulded from 10mm-thick, glassreinforced Abs—the same durable thermoplastic alloy used in Formula One racing cars—and its pearlescent finish requires 12 layers of skilfully applied lacquer coats, and a unique baking and curing system. Its striking design has earned it pride of place at the Design Museum and Design Council in London. The PX range represents Bowers & Wilkins’ first foray into noise-cancelling wireless headphones. They come with a 22-hour active battery life, as well as intuitive controls that respond automatically to the user’s behaviour—pick it up and the headphones will switch on automatically, or switch to stand-by mode when it’s resting on the table. Users can also switch between different audio modes and manage noise-cancelling settings with the PX app, via a smartphone. These ergonomic headphones come in an etched aluminium finish, in either space grey or soft gold, making them strikingly stylish as well as sonically pleasing.
