CELEBRATING ITS 60TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR, ITALIAN FURNITURE PURVEYOR FLEXFORM PAIRS SOPHISTICATED DESIGNS WITH CLEVER FUNCTIONALITY
The Flexform story is a tale rooted with deep family ties. Founded as a crafts workshop in 1959 in Brianza by the Galimberti brothers, Flexform has grown from its humble beginnings to become one of the world’s best makers of high-end quality furniture. Never straying from its DNA in producing fine craftsman work, the family-run Italian firm continues to create functional furniture with an effortless elegance. Here’s a closer look at some of the key collections designed by Antonio Citterio:
LOUNGE IN STYLE
Having collaborated with Flexform for over 40 years, the renowned Italian architect has led its creative direction and produced timeless collections. The Campiello sofa, is one of these key pieces. Its cushions are plush and inviting, thanks to the crush-proof goose down in both the seat and seat back. These cushions can be paired with a roll cushion to enhance support for the back and neck. Its cast aluminium base features an array of finishes that include satin, chrome and champagne.
SITTING PRETTY
Also designed by Citterio, the Leda armchair is testament to Flexform’s commitment to artisan craftsmanship while demonstrating the perfect balance between tradition and modern style. It features a Scandinavianinspired wood base which supports a seat made from a special polymer that provides structure and utmost comfort. This armchair is available in either a low or high seat back and comes with removable upholstery.
ENTERTAINING CIRCLE
Add a touch of sophistication to any room with the Citteriodesigned Ascanio occasional table. Its sleek wooden structure makes it a perfect match for the Leda armchair, which features a similar wooden frame. It is available in three sizes, with the option of a Canaletto walnut or solid ash wooden frame and a table top in wood or marble.
