Dressed to Impress
ADD DEPTH AND TEXTURE TO YOUR INTERIOR WITH FABRICS FROM THE NEW COSMOPOLITAN PS COLLECTION BY CETEC
Sporting influences from around the world, Cetec’s wide spectrum of interior textiles, wall coverings, rugs and accessories are handpicked based on stringent criteria centred around quality, design and durability. Founded in 1964, the upholstery purveyor has developed timeless collections of fine sheers, drapery and leather-look textiles produced by traditional European mills; the firm also distributes fabrics
from time-honoured brands such as Ardecora, Etamine, Nobilis, Sahco, Travers and Zimmer+rohde. Its latest collection is no exception. Designed for Cetec by German textile designer Pascal Walter, the Cosmopolitan PS displays versatility and understated elegance. Consisting of nine fabrics with a staggering selection of 47 colours, the collection is crafted to inject a stylish and tactile touch to any residence or hotel.
LUXURY OF CHOICE
Designed to evoke the posh ambience of a cocktail bar or luxury hotel, the collection has an international appeal, while the “PS” in its name stands for “Performance and Style”, underscoring the heritage and values of Cetec. Take for instance, the collection’s Diamond fabric. A plain velvet embroidered with a diamond pattern, this fabric features the three-dimensional appearance of a quilted surface. The Atlas is another versatile fabric—soft to the touch and more robust than meets the eye, it attracts attention with its two-tone effect. A flat-weave upholstery fabric, it consists of a mix of yarns meant to evoke natural textures.
WOVEN WONDER
The undisputed star of this new Cetec Collection is Sequence, a high-quality drapery fabric with bold horizontal stripes. Half of its stripes are fully embroidered, while the other half is made from a plain cotton sateen. This intricate mix is achieved through a delicate process of cutting and stitching the stripes one at a time. The result is a colourful fabric that adds vibrance to any room.
