Among Villeroy & Boch’s revolutionary sanitaryware offerings are the Subway 3.0 collection, which comprises stylish components such as a washbasin, bathtub and toilet that can be combined to form a harmonious arrangement. They are built with long-lasting materials to ensure durability, while their sleek forms will make an undeniable style statement in both small and large bathrooms.
It’s not just about good looks, however; some products in the Subway 3.0 suite also boast technological breakthroughs that are ahead of their time. One highlight is the Twistflush toilet: an innovative, water-saving f lushing system that employs the physical force exerted by a controlled water vortex to thoroughly rinse the entire inner surface of the toilet bowl.
Two nozzles fitted below the seat of the toilet channel a powerful swirl of water that carries waste away without splashing, excessive noise or the need for repeated f lushing.
The force generated also means less water is used per f lush: the toilet needs just 4.5 litres of water for
a large f lush, and three litres for a small f lush. According to Villeroy & Boch, this feature means the toilet could save the average fourperson household about 19,700 litres of water every year. The toilet is also available with the brand’s Ceramicplus surface, which ensures optimum hygiene and cleanliness, and Antibac surface technology to inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Villeroy & Boch’s Subway 3.0 bathtubs are made of Quaryl, a mixture of ground natural quartz and sanitary acrylic that is a proprietary innovation. This material is a breeze to clean due to its non-porous and completely smooth surface, and augments the bathtub’s nuanced lines and slim edges with its brilliant sheen; Quaryl is also highly resistant to scratches and colour fading.
Reduced edges and a depth of 48cm result in more space in the bathtubs for maximum comfort, while the ergonomic backrest ensures a cosy recline. Other features include an elongated overf low and a low rim height of 10 mm. Whirlpool variants are also available, allowing for utter relaxation in the form of invigorating body massages.
