VŨ HOÀNG ANH
Having formally trained as a sculptor, the Vietnamese designer’s creative approach fuses his practical understanding of both the manufacturing and design processes with his fine-art background, starting from his initial sketches to the development of furniture prototypes. His creations feature elegant forms and poetic concepts; these include the Dzieu shelving system (above), inspired by the form of flying kites, and the Centre Rays chairs that take a cue from the Vietnamese word for “human” (on the right).
