REVVING UP
After a relatively quiet summer, the international art scene takes off again with a wide array of compelling fairs and auctions around the globe
Officially titled The International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, but often referred to as Expo Chicago, this fair includes a variety of special programmes. Younger galleries are the focus of a section called Exposure, while Special Exhibitions highlights non-profits, and Dialogues hosts a range of panel discussions. Expo Video examines new media, film and video works, and In/situ and In/situ Outside, which are dedicated to site-specific works, round off the fair. The event is the highlight of Expo Art Week, which runs from September 14–20 and involves some of the city’s most prestigious museums and galleries. expochicago.com
