INTO THE DEPTHS
Through the centuries, humankind has sailed the seven seas and undertaken expeditions of oceanic trenches. Yet, the oceans hold depths of secrets yet undiscovered. Through the eyes of contemporary artists from around the world, Singapore Art Museum’s new exhibition seeks to explore the ocean’s mysteries and the insights such explorations may uncover. The exhibition features commissioned aartworks, artist loans and works from ththe museum’s collection, including ththose of Singaporean Wyn Lyn Tan, wwhose works are inspired by her trtravels to remote landscapes like the Aarctic Circle, while Thai Pratchaya Pphinthong’s multiple paths and pperceptions invite his audiences to fill in ththe gaps in his projects.
