ON THE RISE

Homegrown singer-songwriter Joel Tan, aka Gentle Bones, is the only Singaporean on inaugural 30 Under 30 list for entertainment and sports personalities in Asia this year. His singles and from his self-titled EP hit number one on the itunes chart, and he’s the first Singaporean to be awarded the prestigious Super Nova Award at the Hong Kong Asian-pop Music Festival in March. Gentle Bones is also the first-ever Singaporean artist to stage two shows at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Tickets for his debut concert on June 10 sold out in 10 days, and a second show has been added on June 11. Opening his first show is local indie-electronic duo .gif, while budding Singaporean singersongwriter Linying will warm the crowd with her ethereal vocals on the second night. lnk.to/gbconcert
