AUSTRALIAN WORLD ORCHESTRA VIP PREVIEW
A quartet from the awardwinning Australian World Orchestra enthralled guests at Australian high commissioner Philip Green’s residence with a “taster” performance in early April. Alas, a thunderstorm pushed the garden performance indoors, but the better acoustics was the silver lining, topped by mingling with the musicians later over dinner. AWO will perform its first-ever concert in Singapore at Esplanade Concert Hall on October 1 with chief conductor Alexander Briger on the rostrum.
