I discovered this hole-in-the-wall restaurant when I was covering the Baselworld watch fair one year in Basel, Switzerlan­d, and I’ve been yearning to go back. It serves innovative modern European cuisine with a focus on fresh, seasonal and local produce. While its menu is compact, I’d suggest going for the omakase. Tell the chefs your likes and dislikes, and let them surprise you, like they did for me.
