Peroni Nastro Azzurro’s bottle and glassware boasts a new design, and the same winning taste many have come to love about this Italian pale lager

-

The next time you treat yourself to the Peroni Nastro Azzurro, take the time to admire its bottle and glass; both have a sleeker look, following the brand’s first transformation since 2005. While the new 330ml bottle—which was launched in Singapore at the Peroni Sunset Cinema event in May— retains its iconic green colour, you’ll notice its cleaner, more elegant profile and a sexier curved outline that’s said to reflect its Italian heritage, style and craftsmanship. As a testament to the brand’s embrace of evolution without forgetting the past, the team has decided to have the signature of Peroni’s founding father, Giovanni Peroni, engraved on the bottle. The logo too has been given a well-deserved update, featuring a change in silhouette from oblong to hexagon, which was what the original crest of the Birra Peroni looked like in its earlier years. Throughout the label, you’ll also find subtle nods to the brand’s heritage. For example, there’s a hand-drawn maize icon representing its use of high quality ingredients. The drink remains the same 5.1 per cent pale lager that made it famous in the first place—crisp and slightly malty; it is a perfectly refreshing choice for Singapore’s balmy weather. Have it in the new glassware, which sports a tall, elegant waisted-profile and a hexagonal base similar to the shape of the new logo, made specifically for the Peroni Nastro Azzurro. To boot, there is also the option to savour this beer in a cocktail. The Peroni Capri, for example, is inspired by the enchanting scents, mouth-watering flavours and authentic style of Italy’s most iconic and luxurious island. Fresh lemon juice is combined with the distinctive flavour of Peroni Nastro Azzurro for a refreshing taste, while lavender syrup gives the drink a truly beautiful aroma. Or combine Aperol, some prosecco and the Peroni Nastro Azzurro, to make a Peroni Spritz. peroniitaly.com
