1 LE PRUNIER OIL

This oil is just one thing: cold-pressed oil from the pits of plums. It’s the brainchild of two sisters in California whose dad owned one of the largest organic plum farms in the region. They noticed all these plum pits being discarded and thought, “What could we do with them?” They discovered that plum pit oil has incredible moisturising and skin-repairing properties, especially when it comes to fading dark spots. The best part? It smells like marzipan.

5 RANCHO LA PUERTA

I’ve been to this destination health resort in Tecate, Mexico, about 10 times and it might just be heaven on earth. It’s a fine-tuned spa without the pretention—in a nutshell, it’s Whole Foods meets summer camp. The morning hikes into the mountains are the draw: a pitchblack incline and rigorous workout rewarded with a mind-blowing sunrise, mist and fog. A variety of activities including Pilates, yoga, boot camp and sound healing, leave me feeling younger, lighter and happier after a week.
