Piaget’s new Limelight Gala is inspired by an elegant 1973 model from the brand’s golden era, which saw the likes of Salvador Dalí and Andy Warhol sporting Piaget’s extravagant creations. As you’d expect, the new wristwatch comes with a hand-engraved white gold bracelet and dial, which are decorated with sapphires and diamonds set in subtle gradient shades of blue. A complicated technique known as serti descendu is used to set the stones by hand, which involves carving the gold to form claws that allow for maximum light and shine.
