He has spent nearly two decades conducting in‑depth research on coronavirus prevention, studying diseases such as the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome and now Covid‑19. Since February, Ho has been in charge of a research and development project on coronavirus medicine and antibodies.
