Samuel Ross
Aformer protégé of Virgil Abloh, Samuel Ross is the founder of fashion house A-cold-wall. Ross was a finalist for the LVMH Prize and Andam fashion award, and also won a British Fashion Award. Now, 29-year-old Ross, having won the Hublot Design Prize, has produced a minimalist sculpture for the watchmaker that combines granite with steel and aluminium in a creative explosion that elegantly epitomises Hublot itself. “Hublot symbolises daring innovation, the fusion of time between tradition and innovation, and the endless capacity to invent and reinvent materials,” says Ross. “My sculpture tells the story of Hublot using simple, clean lines, with a monochrome palette.”
