For the founder and CEO of fine jewellery brand Nouvel Heritage, jewellery is a way of keeping memories alive

Tell us about your favourite jewellery piece.

I have a little Van Cleef & Arpels heart that my grandfather gifted me when I was 18. I’ve never not worn it and it’s very emotionally valuable to me. My favourite Nouvel Heritage piece is the Mood bangle, which is perfect for stacking.

What inspires you? Architecture, fashion and travel. I spend a lot of time observing things and people, and this gives me time to daydream and get inspired.

Describe the woman who wears your jewellery.

She’s independent, confident and cares about the story behind her jewellery.

What’s your first memory of jewellery?

Sitting in my grandmother’s room, rifling through her jewellery box while she tells me how she acquired each piece.

If you weren’t a jeweller, what would you be?

Maybe a lawyer. My husband tells me I’m good at negotiating and getting what I want!

Tell us about your new collection, Paris.

I live in New York and haven’t been able to go back to Paris, where I grew up, in more than a year, so this collection means a lot more to me now. It has become a way for me to keep my home close to my heart.
