François-paul Journe quickly rose to fame in the competitive watch industry and, for the first time, the legendary watchmaker has signed off on the sale of each and every one of the 99 pieces of his latest creation, launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 2001 Octa Automatic watch. Journe’s decision was fuelled by his desire for the Octa Automatique 20th Anniversaries to go to appreciative collectors, rather than those looking to flip watches for a quick profit. The series comes with satin-finish 18-karat yellow-gold dials, which are housed in 40 mm platinum cases.
