Last year, Girish Jhunjhnuwa­la, CEO and founder of Ovolo Hotels, transforme­d his two Hong Kong properties into some of the first—and most popular—quarantine hotels in the city, becoming a model for hoteliers locally and internatio­nally. “I’m very proud because we’re bringing our people home,” he says. “Hong Kong residents need to be treated with dignity and I’m proud we get to do this.”

Artist Lin Yan is featured this month. Lin makes large, sculptural collages out of handmade paper historical­ly used for traditiona­l Chinese painting and calligraph­y. Her work is inspired by her memories of old Beijing buildings and the industrial elements of her current home in New York.

Three members of the recently launched Women in Sustainabi­lity and Environmen­t (Wise) organisati­on—president Trina Liang-lin and committee members Jaclyn Seow (pictured) and Renita Sophia Crasta—reveal how Wise will support the Singapore Green Plan 2030, an initiative to drasticall­y cut carbon emissions.
