In just a few years, Hermès has established itself as a respected player in haute horlogerie. The maison’s latest work pays tribute to Singapore’s status as The Lion City. Inspired by a silk scarf Alice Shirley designed for the Hermès spring‑summer 2021 collection, this watch features a gold dial base that is the canvas onto which varnish is applied and a motif is transferred. Ultra‑ fine gold threads are then applied to bring the piece of work to life, in a stunning display of metiers d’art.
