FLIGHT PLAN
In the days before the development of electronic flight computers, calculations were made using analogue cockpit instruments. The Navitimer chronograph was one such tool that was critical to flight operations for the pilot, and 2022 marks the 70th anniversary of its creation for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Breitling is celebrating this milestone with various activities, beginning with the Breitling Aviation Scholarship, which will cover the costs for a young person in the US to complete a full pilot’s training course. According to Breitling, more announcements to mark the anniversary will be coming soon.
