PLAYING TO A DIFFERENT BEAT

-

At first glance, the Zenith Defy Skyline’s small seconds sub‑dial at nine o’clock looks regular. Observe it for a moment longer, however, and you’ll notice how the hand moves at a much higher frequency to complete a full rotation every 10 seconds. This higher tempo alludes to the El Primero movement and its high frequency movement, which beats at 5 Hz. Indeed, the timepiece is powered by the new El Primero 3620 calibre, and has a similar architecture— and frequency—as its chronograph‑equipped siblings. This timepiece is available in different colourways, with a quick‑ change system allowing for rapid strap changes.
