Seven Seas Grandeur, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ newest luxury liner, makes the world your oyster
The romance of a sea voyage has long captivated travellers. And when it comes to a truly memorable and top‑notch experience on the high seas, no cruise line does it quite as fabulously as Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The hospitality icon has, after 30 years of operations, established itself as the go‑to for luxurious sea travel. Its seafaring vessels are akin to floating six‑star hotels with all the amenities one would desire while at sea and then some.
Regent is set to elevate this legacy of perfecting luxury with the launch of its newest vessel, the Seven Seas Grandeur. The sixth ship in its fleet, whose construction began just last year and which will set sail on its maiden journey in November 2023, hosts just 750 discerning guests in its 375 beautifully appointed suites—boasting one of the industry’s highest space‑to‑passenger and staff‑to‑passenger ratios.
It also offers a staggering 15 suite categories, including the iconic one‑of‑a‑kind Regent Suite, which has a wraparound veranda that overlooks the bow and affords stunning views of the seascape.
Spanning 4,443 square foot, it comes with two lavish bedrooms, two and a half marble‑and‑stone‑detailed bathrooms, a living room with a personalised bar, a stately dining room, and an in‑suite spa where you can enjoy unlimited complimentary treatments while
gazing out at the horizon where glistening sea and great blue sky meet. There’s even a space on the balcony dedicated to relaxation; christened “The Parlor”, the glass‑enclosed wonder is outfitted with two chaise lounges for a spot of afternoon daydreaming or night‑time stargazing.
Redefining luxury and setting the gold standard for hospitality out at sea, the Seven Seas Grandeur gives you even more reason to indulge with seven dining options serving up the most glorious of feasts. These include the reimagined American steakhouse Prime 7, French fine‑diner Chartreuse and Regent’s signature restaurant Compass Rose—a wondrous space anchored by elegant, tree‑like pillars featuring crystal‑cut leaves and floor‑to‑ceiling illumination.
The range of amenities on board, including a card room, a paddle tennis court and a putting green, ensures that there are no dull moments in your journey. Par for the course are boutiques for the shoppers, a culinary arts kitchen for the cooking enthusiasts and the Constellation Theatre for those who enjoy thespian pursuits.
“In just over two short years, [we’ve given] luxury travellers [the option of another choice ship] in which to explore the world while enjoying the unrivalled Regent experience, starting with a wonderful selection of Caribbean and Mediterranean cruises,” says Jason Montague, Regent’s president and chief executive officer.
Reservations for the Seven Seas Grandeur’s inaugural season, comprising getaways that range from 14 to 67 nights, are now open. Among its marvellous Mediterranean options, three stand out: the Glory of the Riviera, Ancient Lands and Holy Sites, and Crossroads and Ionian Grandeur.
The Glory of the Riviera, a seven‑night journey, sets sail from Barcelona for the quaint coastal town of Civitavecchia in Rome, with docks at St‑tropez, Monte Carlo and Tuscany. Meanwhile, Ancient Lands and Holy Sites, sails from Piraeus in Greece to the bucolic port city of Istanbul, with stops along Jerusalem and Cyprus. Crossroads and Ionian Grandeur, sails from Venice towards Athens, docking in Croatia, Santorini and Istanbul.
