Customisation is the New Black
Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers the most discerning sports car lovers the opportunity to customise their vehicle down to the last detail
When it comes to timeless, instantly recognisable sets of wheels to own, the Porsche 911 Carrera S, with its classic silhouette and iconic roof line, surely sits at the top of every want list. And while it has everything a car enthusiast would want in a vehicle, the chance to add a touch of personalisation, that something extra to make it truly one‑of‑a‑kind, is always welcome.
Enter Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the German marque’s “couture” division where highly trained craftsmen are devoted to the meticulous hand application of various aesthetic and technical customisations to exacting detail. “Every Porsche customer is unique and their car should be just as unique as they are,” says Jason Lim, managing director of Eurokars Auto, the sole dealer for Porsche in Singapore. “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers customers more than 700 aesthetic and
technical customisation options across all model series, allowing for a Porsche that’s truly theirs.”
To showcase the wide range of possibilities that can be achieved with this bespoke service, Porsche Singapore has brought in a stunning 911 Carrera outfitted with various Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur enhancements. “We’ve seen an ever‑increasing demand for individualisation and the 911 we’re showcasing gives customers an exciting glimpse of what’s possible,” he says.
Painted in the alluring Aventurine Green Metallic, the 911 show car, on display at Porsche Centre Singapore, boasts a range of customised options that pay homage to vintage 911 models. These include staggered 20/21‑inch Carrera Exclusive Design wheels that evoke classic Fuchs styling, as well as decorative racing stripes and Porsche side script decals that recall the silver channel racing 911s of yore.
Car enthusiasts will also appreciate the deep green hue of the Porsche, which happens to be a favourite of Ferry Porsche, the son of the brand’s founder, Ferdinand Porsche. In fact, this affinity for green‑hued cars continues today with Ferry’s son, Wolfgang, who also owns cars in this favoured colour. Choice hue of the Porsche family aside, green‑tone cars with contrasting yet soothing earth‑toned interiors are one of the most in‑demand colourways today, even spawning the massively popular hashtag #greenovertan.
The car’s sleek interior features multiple stylish Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur elements, available under the Heritage Design Package Pure option. For starters, there’s the two‑tone Black and Atacama Beige colourway, seat centres finished in classic corduroy for textural contrast, and Porsche crests embossed on the front seat headrests that lend timeless, high‑quality appeal.
Then there’s the instrument cluster, which features the
911 tachometer flanked by two digital display screens made special with white hands and scale markings contrasted with green numbers to evoke the original 356. Matching these is the Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dashboard in the same colour scheme.
And for a final flourish, there is a classic 911 plaque on the passenger console as well as a Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur signature embossed on the centre console—a subtle mark of distinction that only those in the know will recognise.
