GET MOVING

-

If you work around the CBD area, you may want to check out several personal training gyms there that have just opened. Here are some that we have spotted.

Ritual

Ritual (above) is famously known as the 30-minute gym. This gym believes that if you do it right (and they will show you how), you can get a safe, highquality and effective workout in just 30 minutes. The Ritual gym runs smallgroup training sessions taking a maximum of 10 people per session every half an hour. Plus, you will hardly have an excuse to not work out, because apart from each session being rather short, Ritual also provides you with clothes, towels and toiletries in case you forget to bring your workout gear. The gym also encourages barefoot training, so you can pop by without anything in hand and still get a good workout. 140 Robinson Road, #03-01

F45

With over 1,500 locations in over 40 countries, the F45 is a chain of personal training gyms that are gaining popularity in Singapore for their intense workouts that have been known to give good results. The “F” in F45 stands for functional training, which means that it is a mixture of circuit and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) style workouts that mimic or re-create everyday movements. In this gym, every training session lasts only 45 minutes. There are up to 11 training classes per day at the Amoy Street outlet, which was named the best F45 studio in Singapore by the gym chain for 2018. 78 Amoy Street

One

With One, age is just a number. This gym believes that no matter how old you are, your fitness goals are achievable. Still very new in Singapore, this gym, which started in Hong Kong, opened its first outlet in Singapore (and its second outlet worldwide) in October 2019. When you sign up at One, you will be signing up for a whole transformation plan of at least 45 days. Another interesting thing about One is that co-founder Joshua Li is very generous with sharing fitness tips in the gym’s blog to help you better achieve your health goals. 133 Cecil Street, #01-01A/02 Keck Seng Tower
