HALDIMANN H9 REDUCTION
Back in 2012, Swiss watchmaker Haldimann fitted the H9 Reduction with a functioning timekeeping mechanism – then hid the dial behind an opaque, all-black sapphire crystal. You could hear the watch tick away if you listened closely, but you could not tell the time. The idea was for wearers to “imagine, dream or invent” their own time. Of course, for the luxury of doing that, you had to stump up US$160,000.
