No stranger to unconventional movements, Corum has released new limited-edition models with made-to-measure calibres. The Heritage Corum Lab 01 is one of the sportier watches to come from the brand, with a tonneau case made of titanium treated with black DLC, and with rubber inserts on the sides. Rather than use a round movement, Le Cercle des Horlogers provided a movement that matches the shape of the case. These “shape movements” are relatively rare in watchmaking, but are certainly interesting to behold, especially through the Heritage Corum Lab 01’s openwork dial. The automatic CO 410 Calibre operates at 4Hz with a power reserve of 50 hours. There are two versions, with white or red accents, and both are limited to 99 pieces each.
