Inspired by everything from nature to vintage stone dials, watch faces in a spectrum of green shades have sprouted up.

01 TAG HEUER CARRERA GREEN SPECIAL EDITION

How much does Tag Heuer like the new teal that characterises the dial of its latest Carrera model? So much so that it has used it on parts of the Calibre Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement as well. It accents the column wheel as well as inscriptions on the rotor that are visible through the watch’s exhibition caseback. The blue-green sunray brushed dial on the front of this 39mm steel timepiece creates an elegant backdrop for three subdials.

02 PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 5711/1A NAUTILUS

This is the last year of production for one of the world’s most sought-after luxury sports watches, the Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711 in steel that launched in 2006. As if that announcement alone would not raise the desire for this model to a fever pitch, Patek Philippe has created a sunburst olive-green dial for this final run. It’s the first time this hue has been used for a Nautilus. The lucky few who manage to get their hands on it will have others seeing green, figuratively speaking.

03 PIAGET ALTIPLANO ULTIMATE CONCEPT “TRIBUTE TO LA COTE-AUX-FEES”

Measuring a stunning 2mm, the latest variant of the Altiplano Ultimate Concept by Piaget merges advanced ultra-thin mechanics with inspiration from the natural world. Paying tribute to the greenery

surrounding its manufacture in La Coteaux-Fees, the newest version of its recordbreaking timepiece features a bridge, screws, hands, a dial and an alligator strap in forest green. As always, it is cased in a cobalt alloy that is rigid enough to prevent the ultra-thin case from bending.

04 AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK “JUMBO” EXTRA THIN

Audemars Piguet first used colourful stone dials – in brown, green and blue tones – in the 1970s. This y ear , it once again demonstrates its penchant for vibrant faces by applying its signature green to several new variants of the signature Royal Oak. While vibrant green enlivens the dials of a chronograph and flying tourbillon models, our favourite is the smoked, sunburst green dial of the new Royal Oak “Jumbo” ExtraThin in platinum.

05 BREITLING PREMIER HERITAGE CHRONOGRAPH

Amid the forest of mid and deep green hues this year, Breitling’s Premier Heritage Chronograph stands out with its pistachio green dial. It’s one of three new classically styled chronographs that debuted in April as part of the new Premier Heritage collection. Even though its aesthetic is inspired by predecessors from the 1940s, the unusual dial colour gives the 40mm timepiece a minty-fresh feel. Cased in steel, the watch is powered by the manually wound manufacture calibre B09.
