Is the Noesa Reset Serum Set worth the hefty price it commands?
Would you pay $5,200 for skincare? I was asking myself that question while studying Noesa’s Reset Serum Set. While its value proposition sounds like a blend of magic and science, the three serums – #1 Restore, #2 Refresh and #3 Reglam – promise to reboot and transform your skin from the inside out.
The Berlin brand fuses technology and innovative research with natural ingredients to create its products. It also counts itself as cell care rather than skincare because, instead of working on the surface, Noesa penetrates the skin and heads straight for the cellular level.
This process is the brainchild of its founder and futurologist Gerd Gerken and his team of scientists who have concluded that cell rejuvenation leads to beautiful skin.
The team treks in the Southern French Alps to pick plants growing at 1,000m above sea level because of their proximity to the sun. According to Noesa, these plants show strong photosynthesis, which means they store more biophotons. Gerken extracts these biophotons through an exclusive distillation process and turns the by-product into a substance he dubs “alchemetics” that is transported to skin cells via Danadem, a technology secured by nine patents.
According to Noesa, our skin has been so continually battered by environmental and social stressors that normal skincare products are just band-aids on a bullet wound. The Reset Serum Set claims to boost your skin’s internal vitality so that it can repair and recover itself and be better equipped to handle anything you throw at it – late nights, excessive alcohol and more.
Prior to starting on the regime, my skin had already improved significantly, thanks to Noesa’s cleansing milk and double moisturiser, so I had high expectations. The Reset Serum Set actually hit them.
It was easy to use the three bottles. Just slap on the serum after cleansing and moisturising. The brand explicitly told me to finish one before moving on to the next and shared that I might experience slight peeling when using #1 Restore. Thankfully, I didn’t.
What I had, though, was smoother skin with significantly fewer bumps within the first week of starting on the process. By the second and third weeks, my skin was significantly brighter and firmer. I’m currently on step three – #3 Reglam – while writing this article. With how the first two steps have gone, I expect even more improvement in my skin’s condition.
The $5,200 question though is whether you would fork out such a significant amount for a skincare regimen. It’s something that only you can answer. Wait. Perhaps I can rephrase that. Would you invest $5,200 in your skin if you could get a 3 per cent annual compounding return? I actually might. According to multiple studies, better-looking people earn $230,000 more than their averagelooking peers in one lifetime. This is definitely food for thought.
