■ The Tanaka 1789 x Chartier Blend 002 Vintage 2018 (right). The bold and exotic fruity aromas and lingering finish are reminiscen­t of the best wines in the world, but is also a sake that can be enjoyed with hawker food.

ADRIAN GOH

■ Traditiona­l umami flavours mix with elegant ginjo notes in Daishichi sake. You should try the Daishichi Myoka Rangyoku, a highly complex and layered sake.

OH REUBEN LUKE

■ Sakes that are all-in-one, such as Tempoichi. I love the ricier, more umami notes, but it is still balanced and can go well with Singaporea­n food such as char kway teow.
