MARCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

Torque (Singapore) - - EDITORQUE - EDITOR DAVID TING davidt@sph.com.sg

In the great scheme of things, an editor’s effort is insignificant and a writer’s work is unimportant.

Even if the editor committed professional suicide in editorial captivity, while serving a grammatical sentence without the possibility of parole. Even if the writer wrote till his fingers bled onto the keyboard and brainstormed until his creativity weather forecast became “cloudy with a chance of pain”.

But there is a proven painkiller for wounded writers and jaded editors in the motoring media – a nice drive in a nice ride.

The nice rides driven in this March issue are the Volkswagen Arteon, Kia Stinger and Opel Insignia Grand Sport (pg 32 Group Test), BMW X2 (pg 44), Jaguar E-Pace (pg 52), Porsche 718 Cayman GTS (pg 62), Alpine A110 (pg 66), Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (pg 74), Aston Martin DB11 V8 (pg 78) and Jeep’s Renegade and Wrangler (pg 82).

Pop a pill, we will. Kill the pain, I wish.
