WINSTON ERNEST SETO Â Replace your engine oil with the correct grade and the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended brand, use the right amount at the required interval with the OE (original equipment) oil filter, and things will last. Mine did, for 10 years and 310,000 kilometres. [Torque website story: Should I do an engine flush during servicing?].

Torque According to our mechanical engineer Shreejit (pg 74), an engine that is regularly serviced, filled with good-quality lubricant and fitted with a recommended oil filter will not require flushing.
