Importance of Social Responsibility
What is social responsibility? It is about looking after the environment we live in. It is also about our awareness of the people around us and doing our best to be considerate towards them.
As we 、carry out social responsibility, we make the world a better place for ourselves and for those around us.
Here are some ways we can be socially responsible:
Caring for the environment
To care for the environment, start by bearing in mind the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We can reduce the amount of water we use by not leaving the tap running when we brush our teeth, or collecting rain water to water our plants instead of using tap water. Not only will we be helping to conserve water, we will also be saving on our monthly water bill. We should also try our best to recycle metal, plastic, paper and glass; this will reduce the amount of waste we produce.
Being socially responsible requires us to actively spread the message of environmental awareness to our classmates. We can work with our teachers to come up with a school campaign or competition to promote recycling as a way of life.
