STOP animal abuse
Caring for people (and animals) around us
Being courteous and kind is another important part of social responsibility. Being kind makes the world a gentler place to live in. This applies to the animals around us as well – being kind to them and not subjecting them to cruelty.
Our behaviour on public transport is also our social responsibility. On the train or in the bus, we should give up our seats to the elderly, people with disabilities, pregnant women or those with injuries.
We should also make sure that we do not block the doors of buses and trains or cause any inconvenience to others who wish to board or alight. It does not require much personal effort or sacrifice to show consideration to others. Do enjoy your train or bus ride but avoid listening to loud music or talking too loudly on your mobile phone.
The socially responsible student
Studying hard and doing your best at school is a basic social responsibility for all students. But you are also being socially responsible when you behave in a way that ensures your classmates have a pleasant learning environment. It is also your responsibility to follow the school rules so that there is order and fairness in the school.
In conclusion, it is important for everyone to be socially responsible so that our society and world can become a better place for everyone to live in. ♦
