It was ini­tially a week­end pro­ject by friends Peter Ng and Ni­cholas Tan to cre­ate qual­ity snacks that would rep­re­sent Sin­ga­pore. To­day, it has blos­somed into a full-fledged store called Pro­vi­sions 杂货店, com­plete with a unique range of home­made nuts, dips and pick­les. Try their gula jawa al­mond brit­tle made with pure In­done­sian co­conut sugar as well as their kaf­fir lime and co­conut cashews, which pack a zesty punch. Their ro­bust Per­anakan dips such as sam­bal buah keluak will go well with fish or grilled meats. For some­thing on the tangy side, we rec­om­mend their spicy pick­led green mango.
