The first ever RWS Street Eats fes­ti­val

From 12 to 20 Au­gust, Re­sorts World Sen­tosa cel­e­brates the di­ver­sity of South­east Asian cui­sine with its first ever RWS Street Eats fes­ti­val. A show­case of some of the best hawk­ers in the re­gion, the fes­ti­val will bring in

11 stalls from Viet­nam, Malaysia, In­done­sia and Thai­land just for the event, to join the nine per­ma­nent stalls at Malaysian Food Street. They in­clude Restoran Damodaran Nair from Pa­hang, known for its 60-yearold Sem­palit curry chicken se­cret recipe; Nhā Hāng Viet from Ho Chi Minh City which will be serv­ing up its full-bod­ied pho noo­dles based on Iron Chef Đỗ Quang Long’s recipe; and Chatuchak Mar­ket’s Foon Ta Lop, known for its fab­u­lous pa­paya salad and Thai fried chicken.

The event will be sprawled across 2,400 square feet of space, in­clud­ing the new out­door area ad­ja­cent to Malaysian Food Street. A beer gar­den col­lab­o­ra­tion with Tiger Beer and durian pop-up stalls along the Wa­ter­front Prom­e­nade add to the fun, while live mu­sic per­for­mances pro­vide added en­ter­tain­ment on week­ends. En­try is free, and prices for each dish range from $4 to $8. Food vouch­ers can be bought online in ad­vance.
