Pro tips from pae­di­a­tri­cian Theo­dric Lee to help your kid sleep bet­ter:

• Avoid bright lights

– from the TV, com­puter screens or smart­phones – two hours be­fore sleep.

• Keep a reg­u­lar and con­sis­tent bed­time.

• Es­tab­lish a bed­time rou­tine.

Spend about 20 to 30 min­utes en­joy­ing three to four re­lax­ing ac­tiv­i­ties be­fore bed­time. For ex­am­ple, brush­ing teeth, pray­ing, read­ing a book.

• Re­serve the bed­room only for sleep.

Keep the TV out of the bed­room. Don’t do home­work, read or use smart­phones in bed.
