Longines reissues a model i nspired by military requirements, adopting the design of a watch created for paratroopers of the British Special Forces in the 1940s. The robust Nato strap and the distinctive broad arrow (to indicate government property) on the dial were used at the time for all military equipment. Each item of this equipment was marked with the initials COSD (Combined Operations Stores Depot) and intended for the sole use of the British War Office during World War II. The 40mm steel case of the Longines Heritage Military COSD houses an L619.2 self-winding calibre. A railway-track minute ring serves to further emphasise the military style of the watch. A version with a matt black dial and rhodium-plated hands is also available.
