Because of Dr Karen Soh’s personal experience and understanding of the challenges that women doctors face, she served as the President of the Association of Women Doctors (Singapore) between 2014 and 2016.

During her tenure, she held charity screenings with the Singapore Film Society to raise tens of thousands of dollars for young medical students’ mission works overseas. The fund aided young doctors to give basic healthcare in Indonesia, Cambodia and Myanmar, and teach the locals about the importance of hygiene in disease prevention. “We support our younger colleagues to give back to society at the early part of their medical education,” said Dr Soh.

She is on the fundraising committee of the Dover Park Hospice, which will be holding a gala dinner to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The Sunflower Gala Ball — A Sterling Affair: 25 Years Of Creating Moments That Matter, will be held on Aug 27 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.
