CNR CAFÉ & BISTRO

-

BEST FOR Casual bites. FOOD Start the day with a breakfast that could take the form of corn fritters with Hollandaise or French toast. They also serve sandwiches: bread options include rye, seedloaf, baguette, sourdough and gluten-free bread, then pick your favourite filling. There are signature items such as burgers, beef fillet and fish dishes, with shoestring fries, cauliflower rice with pumpkin seeds and salad. A range of pastas and pizza also features. The vegetarian items are outstanding. For instance, the Buddha bowl, a delicious winter treat. It’s an ensemble of ginger-glazed edamame beans dusted with sesame seeds, oven-dried tomatoes, fresh pear, sunflower shoots, hummus and sweet potato chips. It has sweet flavour notes, a hint of chilli, and it’s so delicious. End with decadent cheesecake or brownies. DRINKS The usual suspects: juices, coffees and teas, as well as smoothies, shakes, beers and ciders. SERVICE Attentive, helpful, and efficient. AMBIENCE Relaxed, unpretentious hippie-esque vibe.
