The Zulu breakfast of two hardboiled eggs, hickory ham, cheddar, Romanita tomatoes and a panini ticks all the boxes. Lunch has two distinct menus: there’s a traditional canteen section with hot dishes like lamb and sundried tomato pie, beef stew or citrus chicken pot at a price that has you smiling; or choose from the café menu with its tortillas, wraps, grills and burgers.

On Friday evenings, you can enjoy creamy peri-peri chicken livers, beef rissoles, pork ramen or the signature spit-roasted lamb in a pita. DRINKS All the basics are there, from wines, beers on tap, ciders and a selection of hard tack to smoothies and milkshakes. SERVICE It’s a busy space and the staff are on their toes.
