BEST FOR Incredible Italian food. FOOD Chef-patron Alfredo Fiachetti is constantly experimenting with incredible ingredients. The menu kicks off with a selection of antipasti: onion flan topped with warm pecorino sauce; antipasto di mare with boiled potatoes, steamed baby calamari, kalamata olives, crunchy celery and fresh parsley; and vegetarian-friendly crostini. The gnocchi gorgonzola e noci is unforgettable, with pillowy golden-brown gnocchi tossed in sharp but creamy gorgonzola with walnuts. One of the bestloved (and possibly most Instagrammed) dishes is the 300g oven-roasted rosemary- and garlic-marinated rib-eye steak. The baked-to-order chocolate lava cake goes down a treat. DRINKS There's a wide range of popular local wines. Alfie's does regular wine tastings and pairing dinners. SERVICE The waiters are extremely helpful and go out of their way to ensure your visit is an unforgettable one. AMBIENCE The décor is casual and unassuming and the restaurant buzzes with regulars.
