After the compliment­ary arrival snack of Portuguese rolls with delicious chicken livers, starters include a trio of soups, snails al Forno, avocado Ritz, mussels, oysters, springbok carpaccio and more. Besides salads, pastas and pizzas, stand-out main courses include Filletto al Tegamino with a garlic, wine and herb sauce, and some delicious de-shelled prawns in a creamy whiskey sauce. DRINKS The wine list is stock standard, but that’s probably exactly what the clientele wants. SERVICE Some waiters have been here from the start, giving a wonderful sense of continuity and comfort to the minimal-fuss service.
