Menus are charmingly pasted inside old story books and blackboards. Start with The Grand Duchess for breakfast, which consists of poached haddock, savoury basmati rice and curried eggs. If you’re feeling healthy, try The Caterpillar Crunch with muesli, fresh fruit, yoghurt, coconut flakes and chocolate – truly delicious. The Deck of Cards comes with two slices of French toast served with bacon, yoghurt, honey and dukka. Leave space for the carrot cake. DRINKS Your usual coffee and tea offerings as well as some extras such as soya milk. SERVICE The owner is at your service with a friendly smile and a few stories.
