BEST FOR A seafood feast. FOOD The starter menu offers grilled squid with lemon butter, garlic, parsley oil and red pesto. If you’re a prawn fan, try the Cajun prawns with Asian noodles. A platter is a great way to sample a bit of everything, with many options to choose from: baby sole, prawns, calamari, hake – you name it. Vegetarian­s can try the Caprese salad, Greek salad or blue cheese salad. End with the house dessert of a sponge base, custard and peppermint mousse. DRINKS The wine list offers well-known MCCs and good local wines.

A basic beer and cider selection is available. SERVICE The manager is hands-on and tries to give guests a great experience. The waiters are friendly, quick and consistent. AMBIENCE Sitting outside gives you a great view of the beach and surfers in the ocean. Inside has a homely feel with different small rooms. (HM)
