BEST FOR A special night out, with food to match the sophistica­ted mood. FOOD This restaurant offers a variety of dishes, with meat as the focus, prepared with care and to perfection. Vegetarian dishes are also available, as well as several options for the young ones. Try the selection of cured meats for starters: springbok carpaccio, Black Forest ham and, the star of the show, ostrich salami. The rack of pork ribs is juicy and plentiful. It would be unjust not to try the steaks: the fillet, especially, is truly delectable and the mushroom-and-thyme sauce complement­s it well. The food is delicious and beautifull­y presented, which will make you want to stick around for dessert. DRINKS The menu comprises local and imported wines, commercial alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a selection of craft beer. SERVICE Expect friendly South-African hospitalit­y.
