Eat Out

TILTING HEADS

-

BEST FOR Trendy Mexican eats. FOOD The food is true to Mexican culture but adds hints of fine dining in the presentation and taste. The nachos are a hit – crisp corn chips, salsa fresca, cheddar cheese, sour cream, guacamole and coriander. The Pescado Crujiente is new to the menu: crispy battered fish, shredded cabbage, avocado crema, salsa fresca and coriander – the flavours are simply incredible. The panko bread-crumbed avocado fries are also delicious and different. The churros are a must to end with. DRINKS They make tasty margaritas by the glass or pitcher and there’s a wine list with selected spirits and local beers available. Try the ‘hot shot’ if you dare: three habanero chillies, a tequila shot and lime juice. SERVICE The food takes a while to arrive but staff are friendly, polite and clued up. AMBIENCE The Mexican playlist is a winner, and the eclectic and colourful décor suits the vibe. (TF)
