- Bridget Mpande

MBOMBELA - Aspiring model, Ntokozo Zulu is jetting off to the USA to represent South Africa on the international stage.

The 15-year-old learner from Meridian Karino will be flying to Miami on Sunday. She will be competing at the International Arts Talent Showcase in America.

She will spend ten days there and is excited to be part of the finals.

This comes after she became one of 2018 finalists for CANSA Socialite - Perform For A Cause competition. CANSA Socialite visited their school and hosted auditions last year.

“They came to our school and took pictures of us while we were modelling. After the auditions they selected some of us and we then went to Carnival City to compete with other models at the semifinals.

“They then selected the top ten; I was among the chosen models and we were told that we will represent SA in 2019,” she said.

Ntokozo said it is an overwhelming experience for her. “It gives me great pleasure to know that I will be representing my school and the country at large for a good cause,” she said.

Master Models has been teaching her the techniques she would need. “I also jog on a daily basis and it helps me to keep fit,” Ntokozo said.

Her future dreams include becoming a supermodel one day.

According to Olive Nkosi, from Curro Meridian Karino, the school is proud of her and they wish her all the very best as she prepares to take on the world in the United States of America.
